Master in Terminology


 

The Online Master in Terminology is the advanced educational level of the online program on Terminology and a 60-credit course. To obtain the Master's degree, students have to pass 40 compulsory credits, which include a 10-credit supervised final project, and 20 optional credits.

The Online Master in Terminology is a modular program course that can be done sequentially in a 18-to-24-month period, or that permits to be followed by students with an own work pace, because all modules are offered every year.

The International Summer School on Terminology (held in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2009) can be convalidated by the Introduction to Terminology Postgraduate Course (10 ETCS credits).

Candidate selection

The candidate selection process will be based on registration order and academic qualifications.

Degree

Upon successful completion of 60 ECTS credits (including the programme compulsory modules: Diploma, methodological workshop and final project), the Master's Degree in Terminology is awarded by Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Master's Final Project

The Master's Final Project is a supervised written assignment with a value of 10 compulsory ECTS credits to obtain the Master's Degree.

The project will consist in a terminographical work where all the theoretical, methodological and technical knowledge acquired during the different modules (Postgraduate course, Diploma and Workshops) will be put into practice.

Each student will be assigned an advisor who will supervise the work.
