Rosa Estopà, a UPF lecturer and IULATERM group researcher, has been appointed member of the Permanent Committee in charge of theDiccionari Clínic per iSalut, a resource that has been developed by Fundació TicSalut, which is an agency of the Department of Health at the Catalan Government of the Generalitat, which works to promote the development and use of the ICT and online work in the field of healthcare.
The goal of this dictionary is to normalise the vocabulary from SISCAT (Integrated Health System of Catalonia’s Public Health Network) and support clinical decision-making in healthcare. The dictionary is based on SNOMED CT (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms) clinical terminology. This standard represents the dictionary’s ontology and provides a consistent basis to signify knowledge.
