[30/10/14] The IULA participates in the Multilingual Central Repository project, a component of the Google Translate service for the Catalan and Spanish languages
Google introduces in the site About Google Translate that WordNet is available in several languages among the components of Google Translate. In particular, it mentions noted that the Multilingual Central Repository (MCR), a project in which the IULA has taken part since 2010, is used for Catalan and Spanish.
The Institute’s projects linked to the Multilingual Central Repository (MCR) are as follows:
- Multilingual Central Repository 2.0: IULA (FFI2009-08484-E) funded by the Spanish Department of Innovation and Science, Principal investigator: Mercè Lorente Casafont. Duration of the project: 2010-2011.
- Scenario Knowledge Acquisition by Text Reading: Terminology Knowledge, SKATER-UPF-IULA (TIN2012-38584-C06-05) funded by the Spanish Department of Economy and Competitiveness (TIN2012-38584-C06-05). Principal investigator: Dra. Núria Bel Rafecas. Duration of the project: 2013-2016.
