[06/02/14] The IULATERM group receives a visit from Maja Bratanić, Croatian Special Field Terminology programme coordinator (Croatian National Termbase)

On Tuesday, 4 February 2014, the IULATERM group at the IULA received a visit from Maja Bratanić, Croatian Special Field Terminology programme coordinator at the Croatian National Termbase Struna, and head of the Department of General, Comparative and Computational Linguistics at the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics in Zagreb. Her lines of research include theory and practice of lexicography, terminology and terminography, corpus linguistics, anthropological linguistics, and English for specific purposes.

The purpose of Maja Bratanić’s visit was, on the one hand, to give the seminar entitled "A national term bank as an instrument of terminology planning (the case of Croatia(n))”; and on the other, to get to know the work that the IULATERM group is currently carrying out.
