[01/10/13] The Forensic Linguistics Lab gives an award, in memory of Dr M. Teresa Turell, to the winners of the PAN2013 author profiling test

The PAN 2013 workshop, an evaluation lab devoted to three areas related to forensic linguistics: plagiarism detection, authorship identification and author profiling was held from 23 to 26 September in Valencia as part of the congress, CLEF 2013 Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum.

The Forensic Linguistics Laboratory (ForensicLab) has sponsored the work related to author profiling and awarded the winners of the event, Manuel Montes-y-Gómez, Luis Villaseñor-Pineda, Hugo Jair Escalante and Adrián Pastor López-Monrroy of the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) in Mexico a prize of 300 EUR dedicated to the memory of the founder and director of ForensicLab, M. Teresa Turell i Juliá, who died last April.
