[16/07/13] Preparation of a volume in honour of M. Teresa Turell i Julià

Ens queda la paraula

Institut Universitari de Lingüística Aplicada is preparing a volume in honour of M. Teresa Turell, professor of English at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, director of IULA from 2004 to 2007, and founder and director of the research group Unitat de Variació Lingüística (UVAL) and the Forensic Linguistics Laboratory (ForensicLab), who passed last April.

The volume, entitled Ens queda la paraula: estudis de lingüística aplicada en honor a M. Teresa Turell  is edited by Raquel Casesnoves, Montse Forcadell and Núria Gavaldà, and is number 13 of Sèrie Monografies. Documenta Universitaria, editor of IULA publications, is currently working on the revision of the contributions, and galley will be issued at the beginning of September.

he publication of this volume is possible thanks to the vice-chancellor’s office and the Department of Translation and Language Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, as well as Institut Universitari de Lingüística Aplicada.

An act of homage to M. Teresa Turell is expected to take place in April 2014, which will coincide with the presentation of this book.
